Thread: Using TMC in Garmin nuvi for free

If you have subscription in antena and you upgrade GTM FW all subscription is intact, so you cant erase in this way only if you find some comand to add in FW and then upgrade GTM FW.
When you have GTM connected to nuvi in car and if you scan region of NVM, all region is the same like if you scan with no antena connected i already try this

On nuvi 760 i must unlock again when i connect different nuvi.
Maybe was something in old FW and now is repaired i dont know, but i know that i must unlock again.

Yes, only GTM ID, but this unlock code was stored on nuvi not in antena, if i have luck and find another old nuvi 760 i will try and let you know about results.

Look in avoidance settings if you have enabled automatc avoidance for traffic, if you have then your nuvi automaticly reroute.
If you disable traffic avoidance then nuvi will alert you when is something on your route.
If you dont have active route then TMC will not alert you of traffic ahead.

In time when i unlock GTM on 760 i was stupid and didnt create backup

Maybe is something with GTM FW, becouse after i try with two nuvi 760 was available for download FW for GTM.
I will try to find nuvi with old FW and create backup and try.

Can check is this TrafficProvider.xml makes any different if I copied this and overwrite it in Kenwood DNX9140 to work in Singapore? I have GTM-10 installed but cannot see any traffic provider.

My 3790 Sg/My works fine with GTM-35. I trying to check my Kenwood Head Unit DNX-9140 on purchasing a separate GTM-10 or GTM-35 to plug it in. Anyone tried it before on the DNX9140 or DNX7200 which works with newer GTM-25 or GTM-35? Any advise?
