Gps receiver can superpose several products, but not BaseCamp on desktop.
Now we have maps like TOPOSwiss_v4 and v3 with one family ID for raster img, and vector img with another FID.
A solution to superpose vector layer on raster would be to convert raster img to JNX.
How to proceed for converting raster IMG to JNX ?
I'm having a little problem adding my .bil to my .img.
Does this method only work if overlaying a raster map on the .bil? I'm trying to use a vector map. I can't seem to convert the .bil into an .img. I must be missing a step somewhere.
Hello
As i had jnx maps to use with my oregon 300, i tried to use jnx2img to try to use those maps with oruxmaps on my galaxy S5
Oruxmaps can read img from garmin, i tried it and it worked with a topo v2 maps.
everything went well with jnx2img, and i can read the img produced in basecamp or homeport
but not with oruxmaps. So do you know if there is something special to do about that.
By he way my oregon can't read it as well, the img file is recognized i can enable or disable it
but impossible to visualize anything ?
if anyone could help me with that.
Thanks
Probably Oruxmaps have only limited support of Garmin img and do not read raster layer. Raster layer support is very limited even for Garmin units. Use raster source for your JNX directly in Oruxmaps.
Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
Yes that's what i did eventually
i used okmap to convert the raster maps, that were used to build my jnx, into sqlite format for oruxmaps
But the use of garmin img seemed to be more simple, unfortunately it does not work for me.
Just for information do you know if oregon 300 can read raster img ?
You wrote that not all garmin units could do it.
Used with SasPlanet, it is the best tool of the year.
Thanks Alex
