With which tool I could edit BlueChart maps?

I have both MapSource and HomePort programs, but I can not remove HOUSE symbols from maps. I do not need these symbols during navigation and they are only missing up my display. The problem accures when I am boating between small islands which have lots of cottages and boat houses, see picture.

Which program would be the best to edit Garmin maps?[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

That's a good question. I'd love to be able to actually edit the Garmin maps too, but I'm not sure it's been done.

Hopefully someone has been able to edit the actual original maps.

I am sure that somekind of editor is existing for editing symbols for todays Garmin maps. I remember that some years ago there was discussion about Garmin map editors when Geocachers started to use maps with their GPSr. In that time for example Garmin GPSMAP 60 had only 56Mb for map storage and one way to stuff more map areas into that memory was to reduce unneccessary symbols from maps.

I have also noticed this, its a shame. I would have thought there would at least be options or customizations to at least toggle them on or off. I can't seem to find such an option!

Actually you cant edit Garmin BCs with any editor, they are protected.

I think you can open the Bluecharts maps with GPSMapEdit versions between 1.056.2 and 1.058.0. See the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with the author Konstantin Galichsky (kg_vista) of GPSMapEdit.

Yes probably you can see them partially only.
A Bluechart can have NT and non NT parts, these non NT parts maybe can be opened, but I don't know how correctly.

i added to this post because y need create lake batimetry bluechart compatible map from autocad data...

i will see about GPSMapEdit entre 1.056.2 y 1.058.0 to test it
