    Yes, you're right, you can't know for sure. If the system enters the pre-boot mode automatically, and not because of your manipulations, you can't know. That's why you shouldn't use GarminCure3.

    That's the right solution in your case. SYSTEM SOFTWARE MISSING means that fw_all.bin is corrupted. You just have to flash it correctly.
