Thread: cityXplorer Paris 2011.10 & 2012.30

Hi, I have 13 cityXplorer maps on my nuvi 3790 and only 4 are working with the public transit?!? Is that OK?
For example, in Amsterdam, Venice, Moscow and (I think Oslo) I have public transit but in others I can only walk. Paris is in that group.
In each unlock file i put 2 unlock codes with PID1 and PID2 and even try with only PID2 and still only walking is present, Paris don't have public transit?
Amsterdam works fine with the two codes. Am I doing something wrong?

If you look carefully you will find that the cityXplorer maps that work on your 3790 are either bought by you or based on 2010.x Europe maps. CityXplorer that is based on 2011.xx require gma certificate apart from unl file. However if you took Moscow 2011.10 form here it shouldn't be working using public transport.
What version of Amsterdam map are you using?

cityXplorer maps are just ordinary City Navigator NT map tiles and in most cases there's also the extra MMR data for Enhanced Pedestrian Mode (EPM). The EPM routing engine is just in some premium nüvi models and all other Garmin GPS units see these CX maps just as ordinary CN maps.

MapSource can't use any MMR sub data for EPM routing and the CN part is from the City Navigator NT release. In this case it's Paris parts from City Navigator Europe NT 2010.10.
Better use the latest [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with full MapSource install and choose the Paris area in MapSource.

This map has MMR data for Enhanced Pedestrian Mode. The EPM mode is only used in newer Garmin units and mostly the ones in the premium range.
Other Garmin units without EPM sees this map as an ordinary City Navigator NT map.

Unlock with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] if you have a unit with GMA protection. You still need to unlock MMR data with JM KG v1.5 and MapID/FID=2492, PID=2, RgnID=1, VenID=21.

nüvi 37xx series needs a file with modified FID for MMR data. Like the CX maps posted here:
