Nuvi 2x5 SG/MY with Singapore traffic

Has anyone been able to enable the SG traffic stream with the 2x5 series SG/MY since they work well with the US traffic subscriptions?

So far i dont have any luck.....

Have a 265WT with GTM35.... not able to pick up any channels with the receiver...not sure if it is due to the firmware of the 265W
BTW i converted the 265WT firmware to SG/MY 3.10 already....

Try to use GTM35 from ooriginal Sg/My unit and maybe you will see what happen.

Hi....i see...so i assume this works with local set only...those imported sets will not work even if convert to local firmware?

I don't know much about FMTraffic for Malaysia.
Let me say about Thai FMTraffic.

1). 1460TH swv lower than 3.00 can not use Thai FMTraffic.
2). 1460TH with swv 3.00 + GTM35 from other country --> can not use Thai FMTraffic
3). 1460TH with swv3.00 + TSM v.11 + GTM35 from 3770TH --> can use Thai FMTraffic automatically.

I think 1460 is a different series to the 2X5 series....so in term of using traffic it should be different as well...

Anyone has success with US set converted to local MY/SG fw and working with traffic?

Hope someone can help me with this too.....i went into diagnostic mode too...but seems like cant find any channel.....

The GTM™ 35 will be able to receive Singapore traffic information only and to compatible Garmin GPS navigators. ...and compatible with latest launch nüvi® 3790 Sg/My and hot selling nüvi® 1460 Sg/My, nüvi® 1350 Sg/My, nüvi® 1250 Sg/My.

So only combination of GTM 35 and the mentioned Nüvis will work

Hi Tom.... I read that article before posting anything here actually....
I am just curious on why no channels can be picked up with the GTM35....is the connections embedded in the Nuvis?

What is the differences between the 2x5w series and the 1xxx series?
