i am confused. The files i've downloaded from above says to rename them into English_American_.vpm

Garmin will only recognise the factory set of voice names that is why you need to rename the voice file to English_American_.vpn

How to install:
Save your original voice file or rename it.
Copy English_American_Borat_.vpn to Garmin/voice folder and rename it to English_American_.vpn
Change your voice settings
Settings >> Audio >> Voice >> American English

Enjoy new voice.

I renamed the file you provided to deutsch and it worked !

I've another file from the originally posted voices that doesn't work properly , and keep saying the same command !

So what converter did you use to make the new voice file that has been resized?

hi i use audacity and voice_editor_v0.8 to convert the voices have even used my own voice for something different if you like you can upload voice files here and i will convert them for you and repost the converted files thanks

this is new link for all updated voices on mediafire

I presume these are the files I uploaded to rapidshare (different link, in that case), and posted at some other websites. If that is the case, please do comment on any problems you guys might have had (e.g. some phrase is missing).
All voices except Governator (which is of my own creation) come from Pigtones... and in the case of Cartman and Stewie, I had to replace a wav file because it was misplaced in the original .vup file (pigtone's file format) (e.g.: the original phrase would say "when destination" instead of "when possible", so I had to go look up a South Park episode when Cartman said "possible" and then replace "destination".
I've already been told that the Stewie file might have a problem, since "he's missing the 'what the hell do you think youre doing' bit when he recalculates a route.
Well... he starts to say it and then bails from it... you get 'Wh" and that's it."

Don't think so dude, did you look at the date of the 1st post in this thread?

My posts are earlier, dude. In January 2nd I posted at ppcwarez Borat, Devil and Governator (my own creation). Check google, that's how I found the files were here too. Where did you get the files from? You're posting the same files I already uploaded at some other sites, but changing the rapidshare link... is the Governator voice the one from Pigtones, or is it the one I created from scratch (getting wavs from Arnold's speechs and movies)? Then I saw you posted Stewie and Cartman in another thread... a couple days after I uploaded the files elsewhere (ppcwarez, etc.).
I'm just saying, heck, I spent a lot of time screwing around with these files, you should at least mention the source.

I had to fix Stewie's vpm... he wasn't finishing some phrases (e.g.: "lost satellite reception").

The new link is in the above mentioned website (I'm not allowed to post any links here cause I have less than 5 posts).

Please report if there's still something to fix.
