Thanks, i was confusing the "M" chips and should have checked first. Regardless, C4 is 1947 which is what he has according to G7ToWin.

Yes, after the unpacking the device displayed such a message

The most innocuous and common situation where "System Software Missing" message shows is that there is some problem in region 14 (0x0E) where the main system software is stored. That situation usually is caused when a firmware flashing has been interrupted or not completed for some reason. In such a state an otherwise healthy device will revert to preboot mode and be instantly recognized by Updater.exe upon connecting to PC. Usually then simply flashing original firmware via Updater.exe will restore rgn14 and the device will boot and function normally.

In it's most serious but less common manifestation, the message may indicate there is some damage to the physical flash. Hardware damage is not so easily fixed.

Maybe there is some way of uploading the software directly from the SD card? I would be very grateful for the help...
If it's physical damage it's unlikely you can flash any way at all. If you want to try from SD then read this thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Post #33 explains how to run update.txt commands from a modified boot.bin as an RGN in preboot if the normal SD method doesn't start.
