Thanks a lot, both you guys.

My confusion was because Golfer said it works for him just fine,
and testing the DLed archive did not report any data errors.
That led me to believe the files were fine, and the problem was caused by some
mismatching of the files version/format with the version of my program.

Finally I decided to un-install the program, and re-install
(I was reluctant to do so, since when I first installed it,
I got tangled with setting it to read the maps from the SD card)

It now seems to work ok, with the new map.
