I think that you are not so familiar with your device yet..I suspect that you inserted SD card in the wrong SD slot. Correct SD slot for navigation is in the upper right corner of your Blaupunkt NY 830.
If you are trying with the lower left SD slot, you are wasting your time and efforts as this one is for multimedia files only..
