    How do I combine a street map with a Topo map of the same country?

    • Go to first post in this thread.
    • Scroll down to 'Using GMapTool'
    • Click the 2nd hyperlink 'How to merge Garmin maps with Gmaptool'.

    Ensure the resultant joined image does not exceed the image file size or map tile limit of your unit. Best to enable the individual maps only one at a time on the device when they cover the same area. If your unit can use more than just the one image name gmapsupp.img, better to just use separate image files for your maps.

    @demonimp
    Remember the effort required to learn about TT and it's navcores, maps and their features etc? Well, unfortunately, ya gonna have to do it all again with Garmin 'coz as you've already worked out they're different. You might have skipped looking into the very first listing in the initial post here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. It's far more than just downloading tips, just start there and read the linked threads as necessary.
    PS: I'm rarely kind and not a sole but i often flounder, close enough i reckon ....
