Hi guys. First post so sorry if if I've posted this in the wrong place.
After installing GPS update Type G my nuvi 350 will not acquire satellites.
When you turn unit on it flashes up on screen "Updating GPS Software 0%" but the percentage does not increase any further.
If I go Settings > System About > it says Software Version 6.20, but GPS SW Version 0.00. Before the update it showed the correct GPS SW Version.
If if run Garmin Express or Garmin WebUpdater again it picks up the GPS update Type G update like it hasn't been correctly installed.
I've tried installing the update again using both Garmin Express and Garmin Web Updater, it completes fine and says it was successful but when I turn the unit back on I still have the same problem.
I've tried the reset button at the back of the NUVI.
Tried holding down the Power Button. I see the Pre-Boot message, release the button when I see LOADER and letting it load the software again.
Tried turning on the unit while pressing the lower left of the screen and selecting the option to erase all user data.
Any advise on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Matt.

Thanks for the reply Neil.
I did see that thread and I do have an empty circle on the GPS page so I suppose it could be the flat cable but because it started doing it immediately after I'd upgraded the GPS SW and doing the "Updating GPS Software 0%" on start up, I was thinking it could be corrupted GPS firmware.

Seeing you've downloaded and attempted reinstall of the GPS software update a few times, corruption of it really seems less likely. I'd try to find another antenna cable to try. That 680 [with Bluetooth] was more obviously hardware related as both the BT and GPS software versions showed 0.00. Because the unit is reporting to GE and WU that it's GPS sw version is lower than the latest available they will offer the update endlessly.

Thanks again for the reply. I suppose if I had access to one I could try it just to confirm if it was a hardware problem with the antenna or not, but I don't have access to one and if I'm going to buy another antenna cable I might as well just bite the bullet and buy a new satnav.
Thanks for reply. Tried that but it's still the same I'm afraid.
