    You already have it for 12xx MTK

    Here is FW 6.30 for 12xx ( MTK chipset HWID 1106) that i ported

    Thanks Loly, but it's not the fw itself it was a tut i was looking for to practice on MTK for then porting the patch to other devices without routes. Seems such porting would be far too complex for software noobs like me though.

    Yes, there's no problem with having both sets of features and they're enabled quite differently. What you already have in your nuvi 1300 is enabled by the flashing the 'senior model' logo to region 16, whereas 'enable routes' in junior models has been achieved via a firmware patch. All models 1100/12x0 and 13x0/14x0 of either MTK or 'non-MTK' versions use the same firmware right thru the specific model range but Routes feature is locked out usually for all but 14x0.

    Look at initial post. Enabled routes v6.30 is renamed v6.31 for easy flashing with gcd file.
