I've ported the patch to Nuvi 1300 hwid 1104 swver 6.30 (MTK chipset). Flashed it with updater.exe and Routes option showed up

P.S. On this unit I got GIR MISMATCH VERSION error when I changed 3 places for version 6.31. So reverted to 6.30 and all is well.

Would we be forward in asking you and/or kunix how the patch is applied? I'd like to have a go at patching 12x0 MTK 1106 fw. I know at least one other member would too.

Thanks Loly, but it's not the fw itself it was a tut i was looking for to practice on MTK for then porting the patch to other devices without routes. Seems such porting would be far too complex for software noobs like me though.

Yes, there's no problem with having both sets of features and they're enabled quite differently. What you already have in your nuvi 1300 is enabled by the flashing the 'senior model' logo to region 16, whereas 'enable routes' in junior models has been achieved via a firmware patch. All models 1100/12x0 and 13x0/14x0 of either MTK or 'non-MTK' versions use the same firmware right thru the specific model range but Routes feature is locked out usually for all but 14x0.
