I really can't get to pre-boot on my nuvi 67LM. Pressing the battery for 5-6 seconds, then plugging in the device, it appears in Updater, i press OK, it starts, but disconnects right away, then i get the error message:
App: Updater
At: 3/25/2017 2:21:24 AM (UTC)
OS: WIN32 Windows Platform, Major Version: 6, Minor Version: 2
Processor: Pentium Pro or Pentium II, RAM: 2097151 KB
IOU_USBLINK.CPP-710-2.8
I tried all the methods described for nuvi devices but it does not work, anybody knows how to enter pre-boot mode on nuvi 67LM (do i have to downgrade the firmware or anything else?)
I can't use unlocked maps...
Many thanks!
Does your Nuvi enter pre boot mode.
If you cannot enter pre boot mode you cannot flash with updater.

It can be quite tricky getting the timing right.
1.Turn off the device
2. Power on [preferably by making USB connection to PC]
3. When GARMIN logo appears quickly press above and between letters G and A:

That's what I got few minutes ago after multiple attempts:

You need to place the RGN file that you have prepared in the same folder as the updater.exe do not use the desktop.
Create a folder named project in the c:\ drive and put inside updater.exe and your rgn file.
From the above picture you have entered pre boot mode.
Warning Remember that if the device is flashed and something goes wrong you could end up with a brick.

Created folder on C, two files inside: updater.exe and .rgn still have "no updates available"
What are you naming the .rgn file ?

System volume formatted in Kenwood DNX-5260BT. Black screen in Navigation mode. Windows detects as Garmin USB GPS. Navigation board is w02-5383-45 SW ver. 2.20.
There is no preboot button on the board but it looks like there is a place for it and one resistor in serial with button.
Can somebody help with entering into preboot mode?
