The proper directory for JCV to work is GARMIN\.System\JCV\xxxxxx.JCV. JCV file should be the one from Nuvi 50 and you must use the version that comes with the map of your choice because this file is map & version depended.
Thank you so much, Working on my Note 3 with 4.4.2 and working great on my Samsung galaxy tab 3. 8 both with latest maps I did have lots of problems with my Note 10 thou.

HTC Desire 510
res 854x480
OS 4.4.2
external SD name: storage/ext_sd/
If anybody will have problem with installing 800x480 apk on this device on external SD, after install text, map and voice is not visible, all you need is after install apk, restart phone.
After phone turn on, run SP and you can set your language and all work.
Hope someone can help me here please, my head is spinning after trying to read most of the posts in this thread.
I've got a Samsung Galaxy S5 with Lollipop v5.02, screen resolution is 1920x1080 (not rooted)
I'm downloading one of the unlocked GB Discoverer Maps.
I would prefer to install everything onto the SD card if this is possible ?
Which APK do I need and do I need any other files / folder ?
I would be very grateful if you could give me direct links to everything I need please.
Can I also use any other Garmin maps while the GB Discoverer is installed ?
Is it also possible to use any of the Bluechart maps on it ?
Thanks in advance
Please i need help.
I cant find and i dont know where is location on my Huawei P7.

Any advice?
Thanks a lot!

kormanjos, RussUK;
First you need to get familiar with your device paths structure. For that use some file manager as this simple OI File Manager. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Press on Home picture, then look for storage, press on it and look what names used for built in memory and external card.
Then you can pick a matching path Apk and install it. Then run it. Once you see main screen, exit app, then copy over the "Garmin" folder with one in 1st post. Then create "Maps" folder inside "Garmin" folder and copy your country map .img file in it. Finally, restart device and run Streetpilot.
I recommend Streetpilot v2.35 find it here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Also read this great index to understand more about Garmin [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Remember Streetpilot is a ported app. It has worked for many but also failed for few. It comes down to how similar your device is to Asus padfone A80 and A68.
Good luck.

Does anyone know if we can freely add new voice files for this android version of streetpilot?
I see that there are tons of voices to download in this link here: (many of them are in rgn format)
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
The TTSVoiceEditor program [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] reports that these rgn format voice files have a "VPM Type" of "StreetPilot C310/C510" while the "VPM Type" of the voice files included in the first post in this thread appears to be for "Nuvi 7x0/3x0 TTS". My thought was that, "OK, I just need to convert these c310/c510 formatted voices to a nuvi formatted voice so that the android streetpilot app will be able to load it".
Looking online, it appears we need to remove the first 60 bytes of the rgn file with a hex editor and renaming it to a vpm file extension in order to change the voice files into ones with a type of "Nuvi 7x0/3x0 TTS". Afterwards one would just copy the vpm file into the voice folder for streetpilot on android.
I have tried doing so, and the voice file does indeed show up in streetpilot (on android), but I get a "incompatible audio version" error.
Does anyone have any idea about this? Specifically, I am trying to get the "Cantonese, Sin-Ji (TTS)" voice, which is available at that gmaptool page, but not in the included voice files in the first post of this thread.
Any help would be much appreciated =D
