Cleaning OT Garmin Safety Cams
To be truthful one a month should cover speed cam updates.
3/4 of the time I do not update my Garmin units at all.
I have yet to run into any unexpected cameras as I drive in Garman, Belgium and Holland for over 30 years now.
But that is just me.A lie goes around the internet before anyone ever fact checks it if it is true or not. In most cases no one ever checks anything they just accept it as fact.....

Well when I am on the road and that is a lot of the time, for the past 4 years I have been running my Garmin 66 and my Sygic GPS app at the same time.
Now the Sygic check almost every time I start it if Speed Cams need updating.
Like I said what I have on the Garmin vs Sygic, There has been anytime an alarm goes off on the Sygic that was not on my Garmin 66.
Plus I had collected over 6 months of Garmin speed cams and saw very little movement with any of the countries.
To top that off in the area I live they redid a main road, a large section of the main road as completely changed. They remove 4 of the speed cam 8 months ago and both Sygic and Garmin still report these cameras.
Look you users can do what you want with speed cams I am just pointing out what I have run into over the years using Garmin.

You can go ahead and delete my posts see that ones opinion do not count, But you always seen to go after any of my opinions and comments in regards to Garmin. That OK... facts, opinions and comments not count in your eyes.......

So, to be very clear, there was neither threat of deletion nor a suggestion that opinions don't count, as you've seeming quite incorrectly inferred. Be mindful that this is a technical and mutual help Forum, not Facebook.
