Thread: "Local Search" on truck navcore 8.398

Best option would be to contact the TT support.
Tell them you paid for Live but have a Truck device, they will change the subscription accordingly.
But I guess the legal way is no option...
The NC defines what search is used if that does not match the service paid for you can't change it.
Only option would be to have a seperate NC at hand for the search, so you see the loop?

Good thinking (unless there's an actual way of tweaking the 8.398 itself??)

I needed to patch the internal 9.465 to read the truck map card (as I leave the internal clean/unpatched on my own device), booted up THEN inserted the truck/8.398 card and selected truck map then used local search (tested with "station") which planned route then gave me a recent destination.
Rebooted with truck card in and now this recent destination (local station) is in my truck map

Soooo...yes, this can be done but not an ideal method
