    NUVI Altimeter for tomtom

    Altimeter for tomtom
    dscn31382

    I open this thread to expose everything about this utility.

    Here we explain how to install and configure , this altimeter NOT VALID for PDA's.

    Mode of installation:

    BEFORE ANY CHANGES , ALWAYS BACK UP

    Download and unzip the file. Copy to the root of your device and where you may have to use the navcore ---- > Height ttn folder and file

    From version 11, file folders and copying are Height, ttninit and ttn file.

    How to configure:

    Once the altimeter installed in less than the 12 versions , turning on the device, on the map screen , I leave a few numbers in day mode and night mode other series , you ought apuntároslos .

    With a normal text editor , such as Notepad, editad the height.cfg Photo

    I will go something like this (up to version 14).

    x32 # x -position of top left corner of height -numbers in actual pixels
    y4 # y- position of top left corner of height -numbers in actual pixels
    h0.0 # geoid separation , value will be added to height , meter or feet
    mm # mode , "m" for meter, "f" for feet
    d19028 # screen identifier for when to display height , colors day
    N8500 # screen identifier for when to display height , night colors
    s2 # font size , value between " 0" ( small) and " 3" (big ) .
    f0 # font color, "1" = black , "2" = white , "0 " = day / night -automatic
    to # alignment: "l" eft, "c " enter " r" ight
    bt # background: "t" ransparent , color "1" , color "2" , "a" utomatic day / night , "c" smell stamp

    The value of day gives way, should be inserted in the d parameter, the value given night you must insert mode in the parameter n . From version 12 , do not need this step is automatic, but no coverage get a - .

    Comment that based on tests conducted on a GO 950 device , if we put a navcore 8 ( 8562 version works very properly, as tested ) , also need to insert the data dy n . It does so automatically , tested with version 11.

    From version 15 , it goes like this:

    xp = 32 # x -position in real- pixels : between 0 and acerca 300-400
    p = 4 # y- position in real- pixels : between 0 and acerca 220-250
    I = 0.0 # geoid separation : value will be added to height , in meter or feet
    mo = m # mode " m" ether or " f" eet
    cd = 19028 # screen identifier for when to display height , colors day
    cn = 8500 # screen identifier for when to display height , night colors
    fs = 1 # font size : value between " 0" ( small) and " 3" (big )
    fc = 0 # font Color : "1" = black , "2" = white , "0 " = day / night -automatic
    al = l # alignment: "l" eft, "c " enter " r" ight
    bm = t # background modes: "t" ransparent , color "1" , color "2" , "a" utomatic day / night , "c" smell stamp
    ds = f # Show screen identifiers on all screens, for debugging ("t " rue or " F" alse )

    What can I put in bold change . Recall that , from version 12 is not necessary to calibrate the values cn cd is automatic.

    Only you will be calibrated and this is done by modifying the data ho have , depending on the model chosen altimeter .
    I install version 17 , here the data that I put in my altimeter I leave :

    # Configuration file for << >> Height by Joghurt
    # See *** :/ / gps.dg4sfw.de / ? Height for the latest version
    # Height only works on TomTom PNAs , not on cellphones , PDAs etc .
    #
    xp = 400 # x -position in real- pixels : between 0 and acerca 300-400
    p = 25 # y- position in real- pixels : between 0 and acerca 220-250
    I = -40.0 # geoid separation : value will be added to height , in meter or feet
    mo = m # mode " m" ether or " f" eet
    cd = 19028 # screen identifier for when to display height , colors day
    cn = 8500 # screen identifier for when to display height , night colors
    fs = 3 # font size : value between " 0" ( small) and " 5" (BIG ) .
    fc = 2 # font Color : "1" = black , "2" = white , "0 " = day / night -automatic
    al = l # alignment: "l" eft, "c " enter " r" ight
    bm = t # background modes: "t" ransparent , color "1" , color "2" ,
    # "A" utomatic day / night , "c" smell stamp
    ds = f # Show screen identifiers on all screens, for debugging ("t " rue or " F" alse )
    xp : I kept the value given on the left, near the center
    p : keeps me the value given above
    HE: I had an error of +70 meters , so has the value -70

    How come ? :

    Note: This is not necessary for models with SiRF Star III chip. Keeping the ho he, according altimeter model chosen to 0.0. For me, the best version of the altimeter to navcores 8 is version 11 (tested on a GO 520 ) and for navcores 9 v13 (tested on a GO 950 ) . Maybe , other versions and other devices that work best different.

    Suppose that you are giving an altitude of 185m , when you know the area that corresponds to that (if you know what you can not find using Google Earth ) is 125m .

    If we have the data h0.0 ( as fitted) we put h - 60.0 or I -60 , according to the altimeter used version .

    In the same case , if instead of 185m , you miss 245 , we must he60.0 or HE60 , according to the altimeter used version .

    You can find the very approximate height of your residential area or point of where you are with Google Earth .

    To find the altitude is giving us the GPS has to be done with the vehicle circulating : Important Info . The altitude that gives near buildings , standing or walking is not real, and you will see that fluctuate much .

    You can change the location of the altitude display by changing the parameters .

    x and y, in the versions below 15
    or
    xp and yp , in excess of the 15 versions .

    Note: Deltree

    All digital medias for: monitors / displays / posters are made to simplify pixels ... pixels will appoint by:

    X = Colunas (vertical )
    Y = lines (horizontal )

    x = xp Represents colunas Screen GPS may be: 0-320 or 0-480 ( depending on the model of your GPS).
    p represents the lines y = screen GPS may be: 0-220 or 0-250 ( depending on the model of your GPS).

    example:

    SCREENS : 320 x 240 will have " x / y" colunas = 320 /220 lines ( Useful )
    SCREENS : 480 x 272 will have " x / y" Colunas = 480 /250 lines ( Useful )

    We have to edit the file with wordpad height.cfg eg notebook or

    I leave altimeter different versions , from 11, we only need to unzip the file and copy the appropriate version paste its contents into the internal memory or SD version navcore that you utiliceis . To date it is the latest version 17.

    alternative

    To download added to the pink line in the blue line of the version you choose.

    Example for download version 17
