Let me clarify a little bit more - there is no paid version (does not exist) of apk.
The trial edition is always downloaded, when you pay it only changes the status (it directly downloads the necessary components from the server). Of course, it is related to the identification of your device and online account.
With the transfer of the apk to another device, after the first access to the net, it returns to the trial mode.
This is just a simplified description of what the apk does in the background..

It only works on your own device if you bought it. It needs to be patched to work on other devices. It already shows this in case

Buy the application and then uninstall it. Then install the version posted here. It will work on all devices that have the same Google account from which the application was purchased. That's the only way it will go.

Let me get this straight you say buy the app.
Number one it is a subscription based app to begin with.
Then remove the app I just sign up for a year and remove that app and put this app on????
That makes no sense at all.
The one you have has a subscription It comes with Smarter journeys for both cars and trucks

It is possible, just very very difficult
Also, there is the "problem" that soon they change something in the login/application/on the server, so again the whole job is short-lived

I don't see the purpose of announcing the release of new versions
- not patch*d and the big question of whether it ever will be
- if someone uses it, he probably paid for it and the update will soon be on his device
