    Hello!

I'm french and I tried to install Navcore v9.541 SE (thanks for this new navcore) on my old TomTom One New edition (4N00.004) on a new 2GB SD card in FAT 32.... but I've got a problem with my old map France...impossible to activate it with all the activators I tried
    .
Do you know which France map would be compatible with this old TomTom please? I downloaded France_1040_9849 but the TomTom says that's not useable on this GPS...

    Thanks for your help,
    Regards from France :-)

    =====================

    Hello!

    I answer to myself

I finally used TTactivator 1.7 and I'm now with a new France 1040.9800 map.

Thanks very much for the Navcore v9.541 SE. It works like a charm (slower than before anyway)

Thank you, working great with my Tomtom 2nd edition (4N00.004), it is very fast, and everything works perfectly.

    I've also updated :
    - bootloader to 5.5285
    - GPS Firmware to 3.2.5 (SIRF-III)

I use a 2Gb SD formated in FAT (copying files is faster than in FAT32 in my case).

This was the forum that did it

I wiped my UK maps trying to update the firmware....it's been difficult to get them back. What I wanted was the gps to work as I lost the gps after a reset. I didn't care about it working as a sat nav, I just like buying old tech and seeing how far it can go in terms of modern usage....but alas it became an obsession. Mine is a TomTom One new edition and I bought it for a tenner. The crucial mistake I was making was extracting the maps files to the root of the SD card, not the folder with the files in it.

My GPS is working, I've upgraded the card to 8GB and can now use the latest maps and realised TTActivator will do all that for you. It only took me about 30 hours of constantly making mistakes and tears. One new battery away from glory. Didn't realise the significance of the bootloader trick. I don't really need 8gb of space for UK maps, but the moment I could only use a 2gb card I felt I was somehow being cheated

    So:

    1. Get an SD card 32gb or lower. Format it to Fat32.
    2. Download the appropriate bootloader for the device and place the 'system' file on the root of the SD Card
    3. Download the Navcore v9.541 file extract the files and place the contents of that folder onto the SD card, not just the folder itself
    4. Put the card into the device, let it boot to the menu then turn it off again
    5. Find the latest map you want and place the main folder on the SD card
    6. Use Fast Activator or TTActivator to update meta, activate maps, activate navcore
    7. Install the TT Home Windows program, connect the TT to the pc via usb and start the device allowing it to connect to to computer.
    8. Do all the updates until it will accept no more updates. You need the "voices"
    9. Find the "ephem" folder on your SD Card
    10. Find the appropriate QuickGPSFix update tool and extract the exe to the "ephem" folder on your device. The latest I found at the time this was posted was "QuickGPSfix_v4.76.zip"
    11. Run the appropriate QuickGPSFix update tool. Run it every 7 days after as well
    12. Google "ttconv-v11.zip". Extract the zip file contents onto the root of your SD card
    13. Boot up the device, go through the setup process, find "Status" and Information" press that, then "GPS Status". Leave it for 30 mins to find some satellites. Next time you turn your TomTom on it should find those satellites quicker.

I'm not sure if you need all the stuff in those steps, but it won't do any harm. The advantage of TTActivator is it will find and download the maps for you, and has other things of use in it. You need to go into "tools" update the meta and patch the navcore then go back to "installed content" and patch the maps

Tools sometimes throw up false positives on your AV. Use only trusted sites and don't download anything you don't own. These sort of hacks are simply to make obsolete devices function. "lifetime maps" should be lifetime maps. For the old TomToms you can buy a card for a couple of dollars on eBay...then use whatever SD card you can get your updated maps on and frame your too small SD card that you own. Piracy is using property you don't own, not making what you do own work because an original supplier broke their contract with you.

    Hi all,

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for all download contributions and information on this topic.

At first I thought it was the Navcore that was causing the GPS Week Number Rollover problem. (it is also described as solution in post # 1)
So Google brought me here and I installed the Navcore v9.541 SE, and Bootloader 5.5120.

But after several tests it turned out that contact with the satellites was very unreliable, so this did not solve the WNRO problem.

After further searching and reading it turned out to be the GL1-chipset causing the problem.
I used tt converter (V12) from Treysis, and the contact with the satellites remains stable without dropping out,and time and date problem is now also solved.
It sometimes takes a few minutes for satellites to be found, but it works!

    Question:

I am not sure wich device i have,it is a TomTom One - version? (4EE0.001.00)

This modelnumber shows 3 models in search :
    1: TomTom ONE 125
    2: TomTom ONE 130
    3: TomTom ONE 30 Series

Because i am in Europe,i think it must be the 30 Series.

And if I understand correctly,it is a NAV2 device? (important for downloading correct maps!)

    Thanks in advance,
    Yours sincerely
