OK guys, let's post our findings here to enable us to create good/clean/reliable versions for different devices.

x20 & x30's (with 2 panes) run perfectly well with the official .cab files BUT, unlike the previous 9.701 version, although this does also run on x40 & x50's (with 3 panes), there's no live traffic bar shown or actual live traffic input.

ONE XL's (so I guess ONES & x00's too) sort of sometimes run (slowly/inconsistently/rebooting/freezing etc) using either Marks 9.702_rev.1 or Navcore 9.702_DSA_32mb (although I personally don't like these DSA versions)

x10's I can't test as I don't have one of these now but, in theory, Marks Navcore 9.702_DSA_GO "should" work OK
