I purchased a Tomtom XL at a garage sale and it worked perfectly and even displayed the street that I live on. The home address stored in it was not mine and after following the instructions in the manual i made several attempts at changing it to my own address but the old address persisted. I then performed a factory reset and it would appear that I have lost any map updates that had been installed.
The map that I now have does not show the road I live on or any of the newer roads in my area.
Does anyone know how I can recover the updates which I seem to have erased? I have tried reinstalling from the backup however it is the same version that I have now and not an updated one.
