Copyright notice posted in TomTom map and in Garmin map, I didn't see it in other groups such as NNG nor Sygic. If I have unit with LM (which I do but sadly I don't use it*), it's not illegal to get it from anywhere. If we are to following the strict interpretation of not posting copyright materials (not just maps); forum would be pretty much dead. Even stuffs you get "free" from playstore are copyrighted. But then it is what it is and if forum rule say no, I don't have problem with it.

* Not a major fan of TomTom nor Garmin.
