TomTom xl live keeps rebooting

Hi,

I just update my old TomTom device, but when i start my TomTom the device keeps lagging and rebooting...?

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

Try frist to remove your mapsettings.cfg

Try high level u, maps with the most features
Your biggest problem will be do you have enough room to store such a map

Incidentally, the Compatible Chart is the perfect tool to see which chart you should or can use.
Unfortunately you will come across other terms in TTactivator.
But you also get used to it again and if you have forgotten it again, but you know via the information from the Compatible Chart which you can always start somewhere with TTactivator, the last screen before you start the actual download shows the version number as in the Compatible Chart and you can cancel the option and choose another one.

Incidentally, removing the mapsettings.cfg was that the solution?
In 9 out of 10 cases this is caused by not always being compatible with the new map

Hi all thnx for the help.

I delete the mapsettings.cfg file on my both tomtom devices, for the tomtom XL live its looks like it works.
For the tomtom one.. its still rebooting..

Wich map do i have to instal for the tomtom one?

Choose the map with the best options, depending on the navcore you use and the size of the memory.
The benelux always fits somewhere like 1050_10177

You need Benelux_1050_10177 high-level-u
When you want to know which version you're going to download, short before the download start
TTactivator show you the version number and de size which is needed.
