Hi all. This is my first post and I registered just to reach out for help.
My parents are currently on holiday in Netherlands and will return to the UK very soon. But their satnav has stopped working, it just shows 'no gps signal'. It seems as though it 'sees' the satellites but just can't properly lock. It has happened recently after many years of working just fine.
I live in the Netherlands and have a few hours with them tomorrow to help them fix it. It is actually my very old TomTom One XL and I have no clue which versions it is running - but not updated in about 5+ years.
I am a bit out of the loop and extremely short on time on how to fix it. Secondly I am on a Ubuntu linux laptop only.
Is there a way I can fix this in the short term with a linux laptop? Would greatly appreciate some guidance.
Many thanks, Andy
Thanks a lot. Seems likely.
So I ran out of time and ended up coughing up for a new TomTom Start 42. Quite a nice upgrade and price was reasonable! A bit of a shame when the older one could have lasted longer though. I think my folks will be very happy with it.
