Thread: Please help - Go 720 not picking up satellites

Hi,

I told my mum I would take a look at her Go 720 as it kept on restarting. I thought it would be a corrupt map cfg file but alas no. It seems that when I update to the lastest office navcore and patch it, it goes into the restart loop, but it doesnt do it on a lower one 8. something.

Anyway, I settled for that and put patched maps on, but it now wont pick up a satellite signal. The little yellow and black "wheel" doesnt spin. I knew the internal battery was not holding charge so i changed that as I read somewhere that could be the problem but no joy. Anyone have any suggestions? I also read somewhere there could be a dry joint on the GPS antenna. Where would I check that.

Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise I guess just consign it to the bin
