I would like to update my TT mentioned in the title.
I´ve been reading those tutorials and almost everything is clear except two things:

My devices internal memory is only 2GB but the map I need is 3.16GB. (Europe v965.7250)
Am I able to drop out parts of the map that I won´t need?
For example next summer will be travelling in France and baltic states, so I need whole europe but could drop out UK,Spain, and other "big" countries to squeeze the file under 2 gb.

Also what the heck is meta files and do I need them?

    All answers are greatly appreciated!
Firstly, well done for at least having a read/search/rummage around here to grasp the basics before asking for help!!

    To answer your questions:-
    1) No, you cannot really "slim down" a map like that BUT nowadays TT release "zoned" sections of big maps so even with a smaller memory you can probably use a zoned part with the countries you need. See sizes here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] although you'll still need to do some further digging to find which countries are covered by various smaller maps cos TT are playing silly buggers with these at the moment.
    2) meta codes are the magic bullet needed to activate pirate maps and are created ONLY from bought/legit maps then shared here.
2a) In a few cases there's a workaround for just a few maps with missing metas, see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Remember a couple of other things you may or may not have realised:-
    a) A particular map needs a compatible navcore/application to run, see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    b) when you finally have a compatible map/navcore you need to activate the map and patch the navcore and the quickest/easiest is to use FastActivate from here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Good luck and come back to us with any other problems/queries

Yes I read about these zoned sections. If I understand it correctly switching between zones is through tomtom home, so I don´t think it will work with pirated maps?

How much that navicore (v9510) Needs space? I just calculated and maps that I need will be total of 1817MB, so there is some space still left.
