    Sounds like the power ic has seen 12v rather than the required 5v & blown! Green light only means there's some voltage getting to the unit, nothing more than that.
    Unless you're good at very small soldering maybe just bin it or sell on eBay as "spares or repairs"

    I would suggest any of these 520/720/530/730/540/740/550/750 as they're all easily "tweakable" and use TTHome
