Thread: GO910, Navcores & Alternative Maps

Hi Guys!

I thought it maybe best to give you both a 'heads up' on where I am at this point in time with all the information and suggestions/help you have provided to me.

On the Alternative Navcore side:
NC 9.510 failed totally to do anything with my TT
NC 9.160 worked but would not start up without using the 'Reset Button' on every occasion and then putting it into the windscreen mount, at which point having got past the Start Up picture it then wanted 'Re-configuring' every time.

Two other NC's 9.540 & 9.051 that were also recommended from another GPS Forum also failed to do anything after being installed.

In using the NC 9.160 I saw that Map 945.6174 in the Compatibility Chart should have worked as it also has the Activation Code (META) available.

Having downloaded it, then installed it, Easy Activate tells me that it cannot be Activated, and the TomTom gave me the Error Message on a large red screen also saying it would not work and was incompatible (Can someone please let Orni know as the Thread is closed)

I then tried the Older Version of the Europe Map 935.5744 with NC 9.160 and it worked but not fully, then when I connected the TT to TomTom Home I got another Error Message advising me that both this map and the old map for Morocco 930.5560 which also worked prior to TomTom Home connection were incorrect for the NC installed.

Around 30 seconds later I then receive another message from TomTom telling me that the Installed NC is not the correct NC for this TomTom and locked it up.

After another couple of hours I have gone back with a full restore but getting TT Home to install the Old Navcore back on the GO910.

Not a good outcome and not sure if you can assist any further.
