TomTom XL can't get lock despite good signal

Hey,

I'm having an issue here where a coworker of mine brought me a TomTom XL (Canada 310) which won't get a lock any more.
When moving outside the house, it gets a good signal from 7-8 satellites, but when left standing for even over 5 minutes, it will not lock onto them.
I tried updating QuickGPSFix and locking without it, changing software (full wipe), but still nothing.

Any ideas what else to try?

If you download the latest Quick Fix data you should get a full Lock in 3-6 minutes, often under that time.
Since your device is showing sats I suggest to leave it out until you get a proper lock.
After that it should be a matter of seconds when turned on to get a fix.
