Good points for not being flamed
We already have the general and additional rules for posting that any user should follow,
but to make things a bit easier for everyone I would like you read, understand and follow these steps before you decide to open a new thread for your problem:
1. Always check if your problem was not already discussed or even solved!
This includes reading in the forum, using our search and Google - Google often finds post you might miss! Simply add your problem and noeman.org into the search bar.
2. It is best to use existing threads for a problem instead of opening a new thread for a topic that already has one or more threads.
3. Our answer can only be as good as your question.
You should include include as much detail as possible, even if you might think it is not necessary!
This always includes your Navcore version and if it is simply patched or a "modded" Navcore like SE, DSA or the ready to go packs I provide.
For the map(s) always state the full and correct name and complete version - not just "America map".
4. If possible include a copy of your ttgo.bif (located in the root) but remove the serial number and device ID!
5. Don't start threads like: "Help me...", ".... not working", "Can someone..."
The title of a thread should reflect the problem not personal things/requests.
You might ask why? Well, if the next user does a search he will search for a problem. To refine the search you can only search the thread titles and if they are not reflecting the topic of the thread they can not be found
6. If something you downloaded here does not work as expected you should check for correct instructions in the posting/thread and consult out tutorials as well.
Most beginner problems only emerge because steps were skipped or the user is unsure about the terms used.
We are here to help you, but we need your help for that too
And again: There is no need for "Thank you" postings, some might survive but most will be deleted - same for off topic comments if they take over a thread.
If you want to thank someone you can use the "LIKE" button!
