Reply With Quote@aspirin624 – that’s exactly what I did. However, it’s pointless because, as I mentioned earlier, when I’m in the UK I don’t have access to offline maps, so I can’t plan anything without internet data.
By the way, I use a standalone navigation device; I only use the free app for fun and to share my observations with other users—because, as you can see, some people don’t understand that certain features work for some but not for others. I’m just sharing my own feedback. 😉

I understand what you are saying, Why didn't you download what was needed before you left Belgium?
The best way is to use the route planner while online it has been talked about many times.

I am not picking on you this was a general thought.
Why are you not using you phone via Android Auto? I do not think installing on you head unit was what this app was made for.
In fact many GPS apps do not support Head Units
My head unit on my car does not have Internet access also.
Everything is done through the phone.

No one is say that about having download maps. But you need to be online to setup a route.
I do all my routes ahead of time when I am home while online.
Then if I am in an area with no data connection I am still good to go.
Look you users do it the way you want to, but it is a free app still in beta and who know how it will take to fix all the bugs.
