Thread: TomTom - Maps & Traffic (former AmiGO)

I have test every location in the EU via VPN and each country shows I can download maps.

Users should post screenshots of the missing info. I find it hard to believe that some EU countries work and others do not.
How would TomTom even do that and why would they in the first place.

There is more going on with users having these problems that are being over looked.
It makes no sense for this to happen, no one at Google Play even takes about this so called problem in any of the reviews.

The bottom line here is this App is free, who knows how long it I stay that way.
It could go to a subscription based app some where down the line.

So be happy with what you have at this time, it could change.....

It is like I said many time before users do not know what app they have or do not know the difference between the TomTom apps.

You all need to take the time to read about the difference between these apps.
Also know when one is replaced with another.

Just like "Golom" has posted above that is "TomTom Go Expert"

"TomTom AmiGO" is replace with "TomTom Maps & Traffic"

"TomTom NDS" is no longer reason you can not download maps any more

But if users were to take the time read all the comments you all would know that.

So before you post anything take the time to read and know what app you are talking about.

1/ After 1st install
2/ After 1st reboot of phone
3/ After 2nd reboot of phone

Offline maps, though downloaded became unavailable for use after 2nd reboot (as expected)

Reasons for this, I guess, could be multiple. who knows, maybe it will become a permanent feature in the future

notes :
location =UK, Android 16
Other procedures may well produce the same result, e.g. 'force stop' of app etc.

I run this app split screen with Igo Nextgen for the traffic, so not a problem for me

Could be a problem with the UK

In your screen shot 3 where are you getting the map style I tested all my phones I am testing this on and both "TomTom Maps & Traffic" and "TomTom Go Expert" do not show this at all

What version do you have??
