After this has been pointed out it will not work you find that it does not work.
So the only thing left is to look at getting a phone or tablet that will work with the original or the Mod version.

Hi, tomtom nds mod works perfectly. There's news for me: IQ maps.
Has anyone tested it yet?

TomTom IQ Maps combines the reliability of in-car navigation with the freshness of navigation apps by leveraging AI to automatically update the parts of the map that are most relevant to the driver. This personalized approach ensures that the map is always up-to-date, with no interaction required by the driver � or the car maker. IQ Maps automatically detects when relevant updates are available, downloading and installing map changes in the background over the cellular connection of the car, without disrupting the navigation experience. For vehicles without a cellular connection, Wi-Fi at home enables the download and, as a �plan c�, a smartphone will download the required updates when in Wi-Fi, and transfer to the vehicle when in range.

I too been retired for sometime now.....
Most of my GPS use is off road hiking and back to nature enjoying the sounds of birds and running water.
Along with doing Geocaching and taking groups on hiking trip. (A little less with what is going on right now)
I have a good handheld unit no need for speedcams..... (That is an obsession with some users)
Life needs to slowdown and smell the roses and not worry how fast I can get from point A to B and avoid the speed cams.

The GPS app is very good it is there when I need to use it. Some of the new items I might not use seeing I also have a Pre Paid card too......
All and all a lot of hard work has gone into this MOD.....
My hat is off to the programmer.

Also have the time for me, but to be honest, I use all the new features in this MOD, thought they are great and show us the way where the future lies. I look forward as a little boy when the new versions come out rolling. I have a mobile subscription for free speech as well as free data. It's very cheap in my country.

I am also retired now to (2 years now) but still Drive
and use TomTom Nds. Have to be a bit more carefull
on the road as there are some bad driver on the road
So tomtom tells me where the jam ups are.

All right, I'll test it and notify you guys. I have unlimited data, so I can be online all the time.

Update the small piece map where you're located and does it on the background without user permission, that's why is't named IQ.....
Btw. map updates can also have new data like changing one way streets, bus traps, speed limits ect.
