You can import your custom POI file by login in to mydrive.tomtom.com with same user of TomTom NDS and pointing to My Places>POI Files>Import POI File then data will be sync to NDS app.

Importing in MyDrive is not a big deal, works the same as before.
The problem for me is that POI's are not synced with the app on my phone (same for routes, also not synced)
Only thing that gets synced are my places.
So what am I doing wrong? (v 1.8.7)

You can import ONLY .ov2 files.
If my comment was of interest to you or helped in finding the solution to your problem ...

In MyDrive I can import POI's (.ov2 files) and I can import routes (.gpx files).
Using files which used to work fine in the past and still work fine with GO v 1.18.1
So in MyDrive I have Favorites and POI's under My Places, and routes under My Routes.
    That's the easy part.

Then start the app (v 1.8.7) on my phone.
Under TomTom services I am checked in with user/pw and every switch is in the "on" position.
Within a few seconds the Favorites from My Places are synced with my phone.
And that's where it stops, POI's are not synced.
Routes are not synced either, but Tomtom indicated already that their routes work with everything except the new Tomtom app.

    You're confusing me?
Yes I know this is NDS, it's even in the title.

I see you completed the post later...

I don't understand why it's being discussed at all
    - it is not the same application (not even for our market/region), there are differences, it has already been written about them many times

Lets put this to rest once and for all......

    From the horses mouth.

For those who have a problem with reading......

    TomTom: I quote them:

"Custom POI's (.OV2 file): There's no support for this feature, so even if you'd added POIs via MyDrive these won't appear anymore in the app. This is already in discussion for consideration and I think it'll take quite a long time to implement.

My Routes sync: MyDrive doesn't sync the routes anymore to the new app. You cannot sync GPX files and cannot send a route via MyDrive. This is due to incompatibility with the new versions of our maps. If they become available, we will provide an update in the forum and release notes. However, the routes should still be on the device after the upgrade. There's only a small exception where if you'd specific incompatible routes (using avoid motorways setting) in which case they're removed during the upgrade."

If you do not like this info then take it up with TomTOM there is nothing this forum can do about it.
