I have Belgium, Holland, Germany, Spain, France, Luxembourg and Cyprus that I test with.

It took around 20 sec to update.

So it is no big deal to update when it goes that fast.

You are not forced to update and can do it when you have the time.

The only thing is you have to tag each country to get it to update.

Maybe the next version will let you pick update maps and it does all of them automatically with out having to pick each one first.

That being said I see why TomTom does not update automatically for those on data connection.

The fact you have to pick updates save user's on a data connect even though the updates are very small.
