    Actually, the strange thing is that Samsung allows access to system folders.
    Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

    But how do you decompile and recompile TomTom 1.0.5? I am using the tool apktool v2.3.4.jar is not successful. I mean, back compilation is not successful.

    By the way, what folder is the map downloaded by TomTom 1.0.5?
    @vandjoe you can't compile NDS.apk because the application checks the signature.
    All TomTom applications are so protected. It is also protected AutoMap app.
    Download and decompile apk with Signature Bypass.

    NDS_SignatureBypass.apk

    Same on Asus Zenfon, Acer iconia and many others. And even when maps goes to SD - mostly you can't see them via USB connection to PC. To see them - must eject SD and use it via cardreader. Why? As no such problems with com.tomtom.gplay.navapp folder (1.17.x)

    Data folder is a system folder and usually not visible without your phone being rooted.

    @nens

    Could you please add uin the first post the installation notes for

    how to install the patched app
    how and where (annd when/why) copy obb file

    We could install directly the patched app (and copy obb file only if the app didn't start) or like for TomTom Go we should

    - Install original app download by Play Store
    - Start the app
    - Close the app
    - terminate the app
    - Install patched app.
    - Don't run it.
    - Switch off the Android device
    - Switch off the Android device
    - Run the app

    The bottom line here is:

    Does it work?

    Nothing else matters even if you can not see where the maps are stored.

    It is free for now and enjoy it.

    @bovirus,

    Go back and read posts from version 1.0.2

    Post 15, 19, 24

    Then take a look at Post 7 from version 1.0.5

    I have this installed on my Android head unit. Everytime I click the little circular location button to zoom in on my current location, it zooms in so far and then crashes/closes the app. It does this when it trys to start navigating too. No use to me currently. Any suggestions? Using 1.0.5

    @ GoofIsbest
    Did you try to use older 1.0.2 version?
