Tomtom head softwares on some terminals with Stock Rom (like all other producers of softwares), not in non original ROM.
In my Italian Forum, more than 5,000 users have installed TomTom software, and no one ever changed the path into metadata.
Then ...... everything is possible in this world.
For example:
for 80% of Huawei devices, TomTom don't install if the folder is placed in the external SD......the problem lies in the strange denomination of the external SD. It can be installed only in the internal memory.gif "beating")
