Question Disappeared Forum Posts Request for Information

    Hi everyone,

I've noticed that some of my posts are no longer visible in the forum. As far as I can recall, these posts did not violate any forum rules.

Is there a specific reason why they were deleted? And why arent long-time members notified when their posts are removed?

If this was a mistake or a technical issue, I'm happy to help clarify or assist in restoring them if possible.

    Best regards

    Hi,
Messages are indeed not sent to users if messages have been deleted; this is the default setting. Deleted messages may be sent to the trash bin at the moderator's discretion. The trash bin can't accumulate messages indefinitely and is emptied periodically. So, a slight decrease in message volume is perfectly acceptable on the forum, but it's not a significant issue.

    Hi,
thank you for the explanation. However, Ive noticed that over the past 11 days, 10 posts have completely disappeared and theyre not in the trash bin.

Ive actually been observing this phenomenon for quite some time, so it doesnt seem to be a one-time occurrence.

Could you please check whether this might be due to an automated deletion process, a system cleanup, or a manual moderation action?

Such a noticeable decrease in posts within a short period seems unusual, so Id appreciate a brief update on whether this behavior is intentional or if it could indicate a technical issue.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
thanks for your reply. I have to admit Im still a bit confused, as the explanation doesnt fully make sense from my perspective.

From what I can see, some of my posts including older ones have disappeared, and not all of them fit the description of old or unanswered content.

Could you please clarify a bit more about what exactly was deleted and based on which criteria?

I completely understand the need to manage disk space, but it would help a lot to know how this cleanup was handled and whether any future deletions are planned.

Thanks in advance for your time and clarification.

While you were requesting deleted messages, your count increased to 200. But your status remained the same - Master
Also, the number of messages doesn't affect anything, except perhaps the number of medals.

    Hi,
thank you for your reply. I appreciate the information, but Im still a bit concerned because my original question wasnt about message counts, ranks, or medals.

My concern is that several of my posts have disappeared entirely, without appearing in the trash bin or any visible archive. Im simply trying to understand why this happened and whether theres a clear policy or system rule that explains it.

Its not about numbers or status, I just want to make sure that content on the forum remains consistent and that posts arent being removed unexpectedly.

Could you please clarify this point a bit more directly?

Thank you for your time and understanding.

When I cleared posts of what you say of, were all members that I cleared just not yours, so you're not the only member to see this, but you are the first,
All the posts I clear are not retrievable as they have been removed permanently, sorry.
If you have records, you can re-upload IF you feel obliged to redo the files, please do.
If files or versions are obsolete please ignore them, these days' software is moving so fast and win10 is gone but me is still good till 2032.
    Go figer that out, mmm
With respects to posts disappearing it won't be the last "I originally went through every thread and post back in 2017" then the posts were listed and checked before Deletion, I am very aware of what I do.

    Hi,
as a long-time member, I just wanted to share my perspective one last time. Permanently deleting posts without clear criteria, giving inconsistent explanations, and downplaying concerns makes it hard to trust the forums management.

I hope this helps you understand the members point of view. Thanks for taking the time to read this.😉

P.S. For me, this topic is now closed.
