"expand to show full article" prompt on forum?

This is new as of today. What does it mean and how do I get rid of it? This happens when I scroll down the page a little bit.

It appeared a few days ago, for me, then disappeared
But only in Chrome, so I guess there was something to it

Got the same on FF glad am not the only one.

Appeared for me only on FF, not every time but only on "What's New?" mode. On chrome it did not appear at all.

Chrome - problems for a day. Not any more.
Brave, Edge, Opera, SlimJet .. nothing.

It's fixed now. I didn't do any updates to my browser though. Chrome.

It came back yesterday so did a malwarebytes scan nothing found, did a spybot search and destroy and did a refresh and it went away.
Seems there is some file attachment going on "maybe this a new Spam attack method. will check the files next time and see if I can see the file name"
When I googled this issue some others are having the problem too.

Also came back to me with FF and this time on all modes.
With Chrome - Still stable and undisturbed.
Tried now with Edge too - Totally clean!

Just visited here today for the first time in a while and was met with this irritation.
Nothing would work, if I clicked on it it just loaded the homepage, couldn't read threads, couldn't post anything.
Just PM'd Magnetron and the PM went through ok, now it seems I can post, view etc. and that 'expand' thing doesn't show

EDIT: Firefox 102.10.0esr

Edit 2:
After posting the above post it immediately came back and wouldn't go away again.
Now I'm on Vivaldi browser and it doesn't appear to be happening anymore...
