New and/or inactive members restrictions
How about introducing files download, links and hidden posts visibility restrictions for new and/or inactive members?
It should be a restriction limit of 10-20 useful post and received likes, so 1-2 post members can not grab everything and just leave.Last edited by methive; 24th March 2022 at 09:02 PM.

No, that's not unfair.
And I generally agree with the need for a certain number of posts to give permission. True, this will lead to the initial spamming of newcomers, but we are here to trash.

Spamming of newcomers is prevented by likes. No XX number of Likes (Received) = no access. I don't know the best formula, but minimum 10 post and 20 likes would make spamming impossible.

Because of many reasons.
First is that in almost all situations people are giving Likes only when they are forced to be able to get download link.
So, for many "newbies" it would be "Mission impossible" to collect Likes just to be able to download something they need.
And then they will be forced to protect (hide) their complete post just to collect Likes they needed, and so on.
In circle ...
All this would lead only to reducing number of members.
Some members did hide complete posts (without download links) just to get more Likes, but I don't see them on forum any more, for very long time.
Protecting download with forcing to give Like to get link(s) or other part of post is just enough.NO THANKS POSTS ALLOWED, NO LIKES NEEDED, ALL MIRRORS APPRECIATED

Just a note this has now been introduce " Inactive Members have NO ability to give a LIKE" Inactive Members are in a Pre-Ban mode and can be moved to Full ban at anytime Admin please.
