Garmin Unlocker

Just in case someone ends up here searching like I have for a way to unlock a g@rmin map...

Ive tried various "Unlock G@rmin Map" software with mixed success.
I managed to unlock some maps but not others... the maps that don't/won't unlock end with the script reading "Something has gone wrong, the unlocked img file could not be created" or something to that effect.

I've tried various Unlock Garmin Maps programs and versions from this website and others, and while I was able to unlock many maps including (City Navigator China 7.50 English) the latest released map for China (City Navigator China 7.60 Simplified Chinese) cannot be unlocked.

Perhaps this 7.60 map is using some new type of locking technique?

Anyone got any ideas?

Some MapSource products (City Navigator series) have different file structure and could not be unlocked with Garmin unlocker directly.
This maps should be "reverse converted" before unlocking with this tool

and then unlocked with unlocker

Hi, sorry for up it. But i'm new in this forum and I wan't to know how to unlock a map, creating a .img file that works whit all garmin gps. Like the all unlocks .img files that we can found in maps forum.(how can I create these files too?) I've tried to unlock the mapsource map whit my gps ID and the keygen. Ok its work in my gps, but didn't work in my brother's gps.

Great little program, but when transferring to my Nuvi the include route calculation is greyed out, any ideas?

to unlock new maps in mapsource
use a patched mapsource
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
From the menu: Utilities/Manage map products->unlock regions->add->then enter id from Jet Mouse KG in first field and name of the map in second field.

the map will be unlocked in the device you entered the id in JM, if you want to unlock the img in any device send it to Hd and run on it this tool

then copy in any devices it will be unlocked
because if if you use garmin unlocker and run it on new format maps it removes unlock code and also routing data
Should use reverse converter before ,in this way garmin unlocker removes unlock codes without removing routing data

Hello, I am new in this field. I use an Oregon 450t with MapSource 6.16.1. I have read this thread, but it is quite confusing to me. I've severel unlocked maps and I would like to unlock them in Mapsource and then replace the maps to the Oregon. I have bought 2 maps that are unlocked with the unlock Garmin Wizzard. Can I install MS 6.16.2 and give this no problems with the unlocked maps? Should I replace MS 6.16.1 or intall them both? Thanks for help.
