In Windows Vista or Windows 7:
Try "%PROGRAMDATA%\GARMIN\Maps\{map_product}.gmap" or the equivalent path "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GARMIN\Maps\{map_product}.gmap" instead of "%APPDATA%\GARMIN\Maps\{map_product}.gmap".
