I have on my XP PC - Garmin nRoute with Mapsource MetroGuide version 8 and version 3 with the Garmin GPS18 puck style usb sat reciever. (Have ver 3 and 8 because nroute will not route with 8 but it does with 3). I downloaded and installed successfully the Mobile PC from here. Follwed all the instructions and it did install right and works but have some issues. First - I have all the mapsource maps loaded on the pc but I just do not know how to get mobile PC to see them - I do not know how to insert them into it like it said to in the post. Second - mobile pc will see my gps reciever and it will even pull the id off it as well as show which sats it is connected to - but it gives a error message that it is not a recognized device. Please help me with some instructions on how to get mobile pc to see my maps and gps reciever.

Have installed the base map?

hi, maybe i am just not reading it right but i do not understand how to run the "fix" file... it keeps saying it can not find the earlier version. i have read the instructions about winrar but can not see what you are trying to tell me to do. please help i need the dumb version of the instructions lol

Simply unrar the downloaded file and you'll get GarminMobilePC_50070.exe, unrar again to decompress the .exe and run MAIN.msi to install it

This thread is about Garmin Mobile PC and it must be installed in a Windows pc only

Is there any way to change the font in this program? I don't mean the text in map, but text in the program's screen. At least in my 9" netbook the fonts are gigantic and take at least 20% of the whole screen.
