Thread: Genius Maps: Offline GPS Nav 1.8.1

Do not waste your time with this "genius map." It blows big time; worst than Nokia HERE There is no simulation mode so you will have to take it for a drive. While in driving mode, map is always in 2D (yeah even when you pick 3D it eventually revert back to 2D) Also map seems to always be in North mode and does NOT move (it just show the arrow moving across map then off screen) Map download for US is in regions not by states (500MB) for central region. Hardly any customization (very basic layout) and unless you uncheck the two "pay to play" options, it will nag. I wouldn't even use it if it's free.

When Genius Maps appears to Play store on Jan 2014 and up to now Dec 2015, I have installed and tested to 3 different devices.

Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V (MT11i)
Sony Xperia T (LT30p)
Samsung Galaxy S3 (I9300)

From my experience I have to say
- It has demo route
- the driving mode 2D or 3D is working 100% all the time of driving
- in driving mode except North Up, the option to see the map according to our movement is working 100%
