Almost the same as Route 66. Nothing wrong with that but still no junction view and the same old maps.
But it's working fine for a free app.

It is good . map is new
But only English language
The road where I live is one way street but it's still the wrong direction.
Tried long ago to report this to Route 66 + Open Street Maps, spent more than an hour how to do this but I gave up.
Should have an option in the app to report these things.

I've tried this app for a bit and i must say that I'm quite surprised by how well it works for a completely free product. Only thing missing is the HD traffic which they removed in the newest version. Not much reason to pay for Route 66 i would say. OSM is still the best when it comes to routing walking routes.
I have two questions though:
1. I downloaded the two maps i use the most to my phone so i can use it offline. Where can you see which version of the map you have currently downloaded/installed and will there be any notifications of some kind when there is/are newer map(s) available?
2. In the menu you can set the speed of the demo route (1 to 10) but where/how do you actually start the demo of the current planned route? Maybe I'm missing something very obvious here but i seriously can't find it.
Oblivisci tempta quod didicisti
Polish language is also
Do I need to pay for anything? It tells me that the trial ends within 1 month. What happens after the trial?
Regards
What did you install? Magic Earth is completely free! The old Route 66 is no longer developed since 2014. What is now sold in the Playstore as Route 66 is from another company. Its not from General Magic
I gave it a try again and installed the latest version of Magic Earth.
I must say, it's working very nice, searching and route calculation is very fast and maps are good ( openstreetmaps ) altough I don't know how old they are but I think pretty recent now.
The promise regularly map updates.
Routeview is great, specially satelliteview is very impressive but still no junction view.
It should have speedcams, maybe it has, but in my region there are at least 4 speedcams / redlight cams nearby but they are not on the map.
At other places I found a few on the map but the database is bad, useless.
But, all in all it's a good fast nav and it's free without adds !

Hello
Does anybody here use the last version of Magic Earth : 7.1.24.44, OSM maps 27 Nov 24 ?
This free soft (androïd version) seems very good and full of possibilities.
I tested it only in static mode.
Will try it on road and also during hiking but I certainly will need some help and tips.
