Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
Good question, seeing he has a 2595 which uses TTS'2' voices. British Serena, i thought was only available in original TTS used in 2 and 7 series nuvis for example and now surprising as TTS'3' only for 2013> Prestige & Advanced range. Maybe he actually has a 2597.
I suspect the James and Kate that he has are the VCT voices [non-TTS] of the same stable as American Michelle and Australian Matilda. Here's the links if you want to try them:

British Serena is for Nuvi 30-50, 140-150, 42-52 and also for 500-550 and 205-205W series (modified for TTS support) so as for all other newest and coming soon device that do not support Speech Recognition (ASR). It is named TTS (v) by Garmin.

Yes, i did say 'for example' only. Thanks for the more exhaustive list. The 7 is a typo btw, i meant 2 and 5 series. Regardless, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] cannot use them and requires TTS2 voices for ASR, and afaik there is no such [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] which will work in it.
Do you mean that all models which don't support ASR [not just essential series] will use the smaller 'v' TTS? e.g. A 'non-ASR' Advanced series will also use them now? That seems unlikely when the senior model of the same series will require the large TTS file?
Yes of course we are. Thanks for acknowledging it lol! BTW, Karen is a very popular GPS voice in many parts of the EN-speaking world. Even the Yanks seem to like her voice and many choose her over Jill or Samantha. Try Elinika or Milena on a few phrases in English using TTS voice editor and see how she sounds .... haha! For people from other side of Earth is special as usually
Thanks G, we are now completely OT. A most unusual situation for you and I to be in, is it not?![]()

ASR perhaps required more size for its work. ASR supported voice give your pleasure to talk with Navi. You say to her "little fool" and hear "no problem but do you have time and visa to go Liverpool".It is required more resource for reading arbitrary phonemes than simply "exit right - exit right - exit right"...
P.S. And support of Language Guide is to volume an example![]()

'Struth G, if you're not a Politician you should be one! Those blokes tend to answer a different question too .... Because of your comment in red bold above, I asked you this:
'Do you mean that all models which don't support ASR [not just essential series] will use the smaller 'v' TTS? e.g. A 'non-ASR' Advanced series will also use them now? That seems unlikely when the senior model of the same series will require the large TTS file?' .....
I now guess that wasn't what you meant, seeing you answered a completely different and unasked question. Accurate answer for it though..... LOL!
You forgot the question mark after 'little fool', it should be said with a rising terminal. Some advice, do not ask your chauffeur whilst you're leaning under the hood to fix the engine 'How about a small screwdriver?' Also, what's wrong with taking her to Leningrad instead of Liverpool for a little fooling around? No visa required. [Please don't answer that, i'm smelling Siberia already].

Yes I do!
But do not model I mean! I mean series of device for which similar software is designed! Its may do not have ASR in menu but ASR is strangled by soft or hard wares. Sometimes it is cured as you know by using soft or hard medicine. TTS in any modification have absolutely different architecture and require appropriated software for it.

OK, clear now what you meant. Thanks for that.
