Ok...no, this is not possible (such as can be done with the IMG or other files) Originally Posted by maryrose

Actually in Protected GPI Made with Garmin Content Toolkit (encrypted like cyclops and others) and Unprotected GPI like made with Poiloader
All the info is in the file like LAT, LON, Proximity, Speed, Circles, WAV file, MP3 File, JPEG,BMP and Waypoint Category eg Along Road, Tourguide etc
All the info is in the File but nobody has yet made a program to decrypt and extract all the elements.
GPSBabel can sometimes extract Lat,Lon from unprotected GPI but that's about all.The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
