first you need to generate the unlock code using the Jetmouse program.

then copy and paste the generated code inside the .unl file

which voice do you want to use?

located the unit id of your garmin in your gps unit. then use that to generate the code

Had the same problem. Copy paste the generated unlock code into a blank notepad document. You need to save the unlock file as SpongeBob.unl NOT SpongeBob.unl.txt. When you save the file change the dropdown to file type "All Files" and not ".txt".

You can check the file by right clicking and selecting properties. It should show as SpongeBob.unl and NOT SpongeBob.unl.txt.

VPM works fine on my Nuvi 255!
